The year 2012 has been on loop for three years now. Every year, on December 12th, the year starts over. Friendships that were made still exist, children made still populate the city. The only thing that has changed is... well... nothing. The fox population has always wondered what happens on December 13th, the day after total destruction. The truth is: No one knows. At midnight on December 12th, right when the day changes, the world goes into a deep slumber. But, not like one that you drift into on a late night. It's more along the lines of a coma. Every citizen of the world stops living, but in a non-painful way. They stay this way all through December 13th and when they wake up, it's January 1st of 2012. The years will continue to loop forever. Unless, of course, the myth racing through the town is correct. What is the myth, you ask? The myth is that on the twelfth loop, December 12th, 2012 Loop 12 (12.12.12.12), the destruction will finally hit. But for now, no buildings have dropped, no lands have cracked from underneath, and no painful, gruesome deaths of the end of the world have occurred...
yet.

Along with the stories behind 2012, New York City has had to be quarantined due to a spore that collects in dust storms and can get into people's lungs. After the spore makes home in the innocent citizen's lungs, it progresses into a form of lung cancer. The animals, like they always seem to be, are immune to it. Animals that weren't healthy to begin with are less immune to it, causing an unlucky few to get sick and perish shortly after. So, not only does the animal population of NYC have to worry about the twelfth loop of 2012, but now they must live with the fear of sudden death from spores that float about in the air, completely care-free and guilty of murder.
